The COVID-19 Dynamics & Evolution series is a new initiative to bring together researchers working at the forefront of the scientific response to the pandemic. The meetings will focus on quantitative and computational approaches to studying SARS-CoV-2 dynamics and evolution, including modeling virus transmission and control efforts, estimating epidemiological parameters, and phylogenetic analyses. By promoting discussions and exchange of ideas between specialists, we hope to accelerate progress in fighting COVID-19. This meeting series is an extension of the long-standing International Workshop on Dynamics & Evolution of HIV and Other Human Viruses.

Our next upcoming virtual meeting is:

We previoulsy hosted two virtual meetings:

  • A one-day scientific meeting on Thursday, July 30, 2020, featuring invited talks from experts in COVID-19 epidemiology, modeling, and evolution.
  • A public forum on Friday, July 31, 2020, which will bring together scientists and journalists to spotlight our current understanding of SARS-CoV-2 dynamics and evolution, and discuss knowledge gaps and public health challenges.

We actively encourage participation of researchers from around the globe, including junior scientists and members of minority groups.
